Remote Accountant (Part-time Contractor)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to provide remote, part‑time support to a portfolio of non‑profit and for‑profit clients based in Switzerland. You will work independently while collaborating with a mission‑driven team to ensure accurate financial records and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile client bank statements and maintain up‑to‑date bookkeeping records.
• Manage income and expenditure accounts, ensuring proper financial tracking.
• Prepare financial reports based on accounting data and business activities.
• Handle tax filings, remittances, and other compliance requirements.
• Support implementation, management, and optimisation of accounting software systems.
• Use QuickBooks Online to manage client accounting activities and reporting processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Experience with non‑profit accounting is preferred.
• CPA certification or equivalent designation is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to work independently.
