- Pursue your own research interests within the framework of the Fellowship.
- Take part in seminars, workshops, training activities and collaborative projects.
Required profile

- No more than six years of research experience after the PhD.
- Strong background in theoretical particle physics or a closely related field, aligned with CERN's Theory Department activities.
- Spoken and written English or French, with a commitment to learn the other language.
- Not eligible: current CERN staff members.
Required skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in theoretical physics.
- Ability to work in large international teams and to present and discuss research results.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to shared research objectives.
What we offer
- A monthly net stipend of 7,004 or 7,425 Swiss Francs depending on degree and post-graduation experience.
- 30 days of paid leave per year plus 2 weeks annual closure.
- Health insurance covering yourself, spouse and children, and membership of the CERN Pension Fund.
- Family, child and infant monthly allowances, and a relocation package depending on circumstances.
- Option to extend the contract up to 36 months, and on-the-job and formal training including language classes.
