Research Scientist – In‑vivo Drug Discovery Pharmacology

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Research Scientist to join our Oncology Drug Discovery Pharmacology team in Basel. The role focuses on in‑vivo pharmacology studies using advanced imaging technologies to evaluate novel therapeutic candidates. It is a 6‑month fixed‑term contract with a strong possibility of extension.

Key responsibilities

• Design, conduct and analyse in‑vivo pharmacology studies in rodents, applying ultrasound, micro‑CT, bioluminescence and MRI imaging to assess tumor biology.
• Plan experiments independently, generate data, and interpret results under the guidance of the lab head.
• Collaborate with pharmacologists and cross‑functional teams across the global Oncology Drug Discovery organization.
• Maintain high‑quality documentation and ensure compliance with laboratory animal science standards.

Required profile

• Relevant work or residency permit for Switzerland or EU citizenship.
• MSc, BSc or qualified Lab Technician in Pharmacology, Cellular Biology or related field.
• Basic training in laboratory animal science (LTK Module 1 or equivalent).
• Proven experience conducting in‑vivo studies in mice.
• Strong communication skills in English and ability to work independently within a global team.
