Restaurant Chef for Signature Dining Concept

About the role

The Restaurant Chef will lead the culinary operation of Basalt, a signature dining concept at The Park Gstaad, a Four Seasons Hotel. Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will shape the restaurant’s culinary identity, oversee seasonal menu development, and ensure seamless collaboration with the Restaurant General Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily culinary operations, guaranteeing exceptional food quality, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
• Develop and execute seasonal menus, signature dishes, and distinctive dining experiences.
• Coach, mentor, and develop a high‑performing culinary team.
• Manage food cost, inventory, productivity, waste reduction, and overall operational efficiency.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and local producers for responsible sourcing.

Required profile

• A degree, diploma or recognised professional qualification in Culinary Arts or a related field.
• Minimum four years of progressive culinary leadership experience in luxury hospitality or high‑end restaurants.
• Proven ability to lead a restaurant kitchen and deliver a distinctive, high‑quality culinary concept.
• Fluent English; Swiss or EU/EFTA citizenship or valid Swiss work authorization required.
