Sales and Operations Planning Specialist

About the role

Join Hitachi Energy to lead and continuously improve the local Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives and supporting senior leadership decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate monthly S&OP reviews and executive meetings, providing insights, reports and recommendations.
• Collaborate with Sales, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance and Product Management to resolve conflicts, build consensus and drive alignment.
• Develop demand‑planning and forecasting methodologies for a broad portfolio of critical products using market intelligence and data analytics.
• Monitor KPIs such as forecast accuracy, service levels, inventory performance and production adherence to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Significant experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Planning or S&OP within an international manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical abilities, independent work style and proven stakeholder‑management skills, including engagement with senior leaders.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of SAP (including intercompany purchasing and planning).
• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification (advantageous).
• Proficiency in data analysis and forecasting techniques.
