Scientific Affairs Officer (Maternity Cover)

About the role

The Scientific Affairs Officer will support GARDP's REVIVE programme, helping to organise webinars, manage content, and foster a community of antimicrobial researchers. This maternity‑cover position works closely with the Scientific Affairs team and the wider R&D group.

Key responsibilities

• Logistical management of the virtual Antimicrobial Chemotherapy Conference (ACC) 2027, including speaker coordination, promotional material preparation, and technical support.
• Support the production of Viewpoint articles: invite authors, manage peer‑review, perform light editing, and upload content.
• Develop and execute communication campaigns for REVIVE, providing content for newsletters and social media.
• Assist in creating resources for the Antimicrobial Encyclopaedia and maintain the stakeholder network.

Required profile

• BSc or MSc in life sciences, medicine or chemistry.
• Excellent English writing skills and ability to work remotely with limited supervision.
• Proactive, well‑organized, and able to meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Experience with webinar platforms (e.g., GoToWebinar, Zoom).
• Familiarity with WordPress, Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva, and Slack.
• Digital media and online marketing tools for content creation and outreach.
