About the role

As a Scientific Data Product Manager in Nestlé Research’s Computational Sciences department, you will own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of scientific data products spanning agriculture, packaging, clinical research, food safety and health & nutrition. You will translate scientific needs into high‑impact data solutions and drive their adoption across the organization.

Key responsibilities

  • Define product vision, roadmap and success criteria, aligning scientific, data and technology goals.
  • Partner with researchers to improve data quality, enrich metadata and enable FAIR‑compliant data discovery.
  • Design and deliver scalable data products for bioinformatics, clinical and omics pipelines from concept to adoption.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams of scientists, data engineers, architects, AI specialists and external partners to accelerate delivery.
  • Champion AI‑enabled automation to turn trusted data into faster, smarter insights.
  • Maintain long‑term product stewardship, using adoption metrics and user feedback for continuous improvement.

Required profile

  • Advanced degree (BSc, MSc or PhD) in Bioinformatics, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Computer Science or Engineering.
  • Proven experience delivering data products in scientific settings, preferably food, life‑science or pharma.
  • Strong product ownership skills: roadmap management, backlog prioritisation, user‑centric design and adoption tracking.
  • Deep understanding of data engineering concepts, pipelines, ETL/ELT, APIs, metadata, governance and analytics architectures.
  • Familiarity with modern data ecosystems – cloud platforms, Snowflake, Linux, containers, Airflow and DevOps practices.
