Security and Safety Manager

About the role

The Security and Safety Manager will lead the security and safety function at The Park Gstaad, a Four Seasons Hotel, ensuring the protection of guests, employees, assets and property. Reporting to the General Manager, you will own day‑to‑day security operations, risk management, emergency preparedness and crisis response.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all security and safety activities across the hotel, protecting guests, employees, assets and the property.
• Develop, supervise and coordinate the internal security team and external security providers.
• Oversee physical security systems such as access control, CCTV, alarms, key security, patrols and incident management.
• Conduct risk assessments, investigations and implement preventive measures.
• Manage emergency preparedness, crisis management procedures, drills and employee training.
• Coordinate security planning for VIP stays, special events and higher‑risk activities.
• Maintain relationships with local police, fire and emergency services.
• Lead security readiness for the hotel opening and continuously improve security standards.

Required profile

• Degree, diploma or recognised professional qualification in Security Management, Risk Management, Hospitality Management or related field (preferred).
• Minimum five years of progressive experience in security, safety or risk management, including leadership responsibility, ideally in luxury hospitality.
• Strong judgement, discretion and problem‑solving skills for high‑pressure situations.
• Fluent in English and German and/or French; additional languages advantageous.
• Valid driving licence; First Aid/CPR, Health & Safety, fire safety or recognised security certifications are advantageous.
• Swiss or EU/EFTA citizenship or valid Swiss work authorization.
