Security Engineer – Operational Technology for Cloud Services

About the role

The Security Engineer will strengthen the isolation and hardening of Google Cloud, focusing on industrial control systems (ICS) and operational technology (OT) within data centers. You will work with software and infrastructure teams to identify and remediate security risks.

Key responsibilities

• Identify security issues and design controls, tools, and services to improve security systems and processes.
• Conduct comprehensive security assessments across infrastructure and platform layers to detect vulnerabilities and non‑compliance.
• Develop risk‑remediation strategies and roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
• Review designs and provide security guidance for ICS/OT environments and management platforms.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years in security assessments, design reviews, threat modeling, and security engineering.
• 5+ years of coding experience in general‑purpose languages.
• 1+ year leading technical teams or conducting enterprise‑level risk analysis.
