Security Engineering Intern

About the role

We are looking for a Security Engineering Intern to support Sika’s IT and business teams by applying best practices in security engineering, including development, cryptography, network security, and incident response. You will work on building tools, conducting security reviews, and gaining hands‑on experience across corporate and production environments.

Key responsibilities

• Adopt and promote security engineering best practices across development, cryptography, network security, security operations, incident response and security intelligence.
• Develop and improve internal security utilities and tools to enable fast, scalable operations.
• Conduct security reviews of core corporate and production infrastructure, including OT environments.
• Provide security expertise and guidance to various IT and business teams.
• Identify personal and team priorities, work independently with minimal supervision while meeting quality and deadlines.

Required profile

• BSc degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Willingness to learn and enjoy problem solving.
• Proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Programming or scripting experience (e.g., Python, Ruby, PowerShell, Bash).
• Familiarity with malware analysis, forensics, SOAR, SIEM platforms.
• Knowledge of Windows, Linux, macOS operating systems.
• Experience with Azure Cloud Services is a plus.
