Security Operations Center (SOC) Coordinator

About the role

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) seeks a Security Operations Center (SOC) Coordinator to lead its hybrid SOC based at headquarters in Geneva. Reporting to the ICT Security Manager, the coordinator will ensure the organisation can detect, respond to, and recover from cyber‑attacks, supporting the broader cyber security strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all SOC functions, including cyber security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and threat intelligence, in partnership with the MSSP.
• Lead a team of Cyber Security Engineers, assigning tasks and managing escalations for Tier 1‑3 incidents.
• Develop, revise, and enforce SOC‑related policies, standards, and procedures within the Information Security Framework.
• Deliver SOC metrics and measurables to the CISO and ensure compliance with security policies.
• Oversee efficient incident identification, triage, reporting, and communication through established channels.
• Collaborate with vulnerability management to ensure timely application of security patches and corrective actions.

Required profile

• Proven experience coordinating SOC operations in a complex, multi‑national environment.
• Strong situational awareness and ability to work with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills for managing incident response workflows.
