Senior Accountant / Accounting Lead

About the role

Deskbird is looking for a Senior Accountant / Accounting Lead to design, shape and implement financial and accounting processes that support its rapid growth. The role combines day‑to‑day accounting management with strategic initiatives that unlock enterprise value across four legal entities.

Key responsibilities

• Design and continuously improve accounting and tax set‑up for the group, including transfer pricing policies.
• Ensure statutory compliance and own all accounting and tax filings.
• Manage daily operations such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, local VAT, payroll accounting and intercompany reconciliations.
• Act as the main contact for senior internal and external stakeholders and support the CFO on operational and strategic tasks.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and coordinate annual audits and external financing rounds.

Required profile

• Completed training as an Accounting Clerk or equivalent qualification.
• At least 7 years of professional experience in finance, preferably in a start‑up or scale‑up environment.
• Strong self‑driven and collaborative mindset.
• Excellent communication skills in German and English.
