Senior Accountant

About the role

Kanadevia Inova is seeking a Senior Accountant to own end‑to‑end accounting outcomes for its Swiss legal entity. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with Swiss CO and IFRS, and readiness for audits while supporting the finance team in a fast‑growing waste‑to‑value business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle for the Swiss entity, including month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closings.
• Act as the primary accounting interface with the Shared Service Center (AP, AR, GL, T&E) and oversee accounting quality.
• Review and validate general‑ledger postings, accruals, provisions, intercompany reconciliations and financial statements.
• Prepare statutory financial statements in line with Swiss CO, IFRS and Group policies.
• Coordinate external audits, serve as the main counterpart for auditors and drive remediation actions.
• Ensure robust internal controls, segregation of duties (DoA/SoD) and high‑quality audit documentation.
• Support the Finance Manager Switzerland in leadership, process improvements and collaboration with Controlling and Group Finance.

Required profile

• Strong senior‑level expertise in statutory accounting, IFRS and Swiss CO.
• Proven experience delivering accounting outcomes within a Shared Service Center model.
• Hands‑on experience with monthly, quarterly and annual closings and financial reporting.
• Track record of preparing, reviewing and signing off statutory financial statements and managing external audits.
• Deep understanding of internal controls, DoA and SoD principles.
• Experience in ERP‑driven environments, preferably IFS.
• Fluent in English and German.
