Senior Actuarial Analyst / Pricing Actuary

About the role

Join AXIS Capital’s International Casualty Pricing Team in Zurich, supporting the pricing of treaty business across Motor, General Liability and Professional Lines. You will work closely with underwriters and actuarial colleagues to ensure robust technical pricing and risk assessment.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and validate client data for AXIS pricing tools.
• Perform loss modelling and use actuarial methods to estimate expected losses, cash flows and risk aggregations.
• Advise management on technical pricing and evaluate commercial agreements.
• Provide actuarial input for portfolio monitoring, business planning and projections.
• Support development and maintenance of data analytics tools and models.
• Participate in cross‑functional projects and client/broker meetings, with occasional travel.

Required profile

• Motivated actuarial professional with strong analytical background.
• Self‑starter, proactive, able to work under pressure and manage priorities.
• Effective communicator comfortable presenting to stakeholders.
• Team player who thrives in a dynamic, international environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and MS Office proficiency.
• Programming knowledge (VBA, R, SQL, C#).
• University degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or related field.
• Qualified member of an actuarial society or working towards qualification.
