Senior Associate – U.S. Tax (Financial Services)

About the role

Join PwC's Financial Services Tax team in Zürich as a Senior Associate focusing on U.S. corporate income tax. You will work on digitization, automation, and efficiency initiatives while delivering high‑quality tax compliance and advisory services to clients in the financial sector.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review U.S. corporate tax filings (Forms 1120/1120‑F) and partnership filings (Form 1065) accurately and on time.
• Analyze complex tax issues, including ECI, FDAP, and Branch Profit Tax calculations.
• Advise clients on tax planning, compliance, and strategy to optimize positions and mitigate risk.
• Collaborate across service lines and teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Maintain strong client and team relationships while managing competing deadlines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• At least 1 year of U.S. tax compliance experience with corporate and/or partnership filings.
• U.S. CPA or Enrolled Agent license (or in progress) or a commitment to obtain one.
• Professional fluency in English; German is a plus.
• Proactive attitude with strong ownership of deliverables and deadline management.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency, including handling large datasets and creating structured workpapers.
• Knowledge of U.S. tax forms: 1120, 1120‑F, 1065, 1042/1042‑S, W‑8, and informational reporting forms 8865, 8858, 5471.
• Understanding of withholding and reporting regimes, state and local tax compliance.
• Enthusiasm for digitization, automation, and process improvement in tax compliance.
