Senior Backend Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help design and scale the core infrastructure of Stacksync’s enterprise AI platform. You will work on high‑throughput data streams, asynchronous job processing, and real‑time workflow orchestration that power critical operations for e‑commerce, supply‑chain and logistics customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement modular, high‑performance architectures for large‑scale data movement and real‑time processing.
• Build and maintain agentic workflows that handle complex enterprise use cases.
• Develop and operate distributed queues, event‑driven systems, and a workflow execution engine.
• Own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of internal platforms, from architecture through production monitoring.
• Continuously improve code quality, scalability, and reliability across the shared codebase.

• Comfort with fast‑moving, ambiguous environments and a product‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python and Go.
• Experience with React for front‑end integration.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and Postgres‑heavy architectures.
• Hands‑on experience with distributed queues and event‑driven workflow systems.
• Ability to design and operate real‑time, high‑throughput data pipelines.
