Senior Business Controller

About the role

A leading art world authority is looking for a Senior Business Controller to own the P&L of a dedicated entity and act as a key finance business partner to local management and operational teams. You will also coordinate and review the reporting packages for six entities for Group consolidation, ensuring accurate system entry, timely submission and reliable reporting to Group.

Key responsibilities

• Own the P&L of a dedicated entity, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, performance monitoring and variance analysis
• Act as finance business partner to local management, giving clear financial insights, recommendations and decision support
• Lead the preparation of budget, forecast and annual close meetings, with relevant analyses, documentation and stakeholder alignment
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for the assigned entity
• Coordinate and review the reporting packages for six entities for Group consolidation, and work with local entity representatives on recurring reporting
• Monitor financial performance, identify risks and opportunities and drive corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, accounting standards, internal controls and audit requirements
• Support process improvements, system enhancements and standardisation of controlling and reporting practices
• Build financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic and operational decisions

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field
• Typically 7+ years of experience in controlling, FP&A, accounting or finance business partnering, ideally in an international environment
• Strong experience with P&L ownership, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting
• Understanding of consolidation, reporting packages and group reporting requirements
• Experience working with local finance teams and coordinating recurring reporting deliverables
• Professional fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage
