Senior CAE Engineer (All Genders)

About the role

Angst+Pfister is looking for a Senior CAE Engineer in Dübendorf to provide advanced CAE engineering services and technical support to customers and internal stakeholders across different product groups and business units. The role involves solving complex technical challenges, working directly with customers and acting as a technical reference in an international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform non-linear static/dynamic finite element analysis (FEA) and fluid-structure interaction (FSI) simulations using Abaqus, Fe-safe, Isight, Tosca and Star-CCM+
• Analyze, design and simulate molding processes for antivibration and sealing products
• Calibrate, verify and validate material models through physical testing
• Deliver engineering presentations and technical trainings/seminars, take part in engineering meetings and coach new employees or students
• Support marketing with engineering documentation for catalogues, brochures and product-application magazine articles

Required profile

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on FEA or CFD; a PhD in the same field is a plus
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in advanced CAE simulation in a cross-cultural, international environment
• Experience calibrating, verifying and validating material models such as elastomers, plastics, metals, soft adhesives and brittle materials; experience with universal testing machines, dynamic mechanical analysis and digital image correlation is desired
• Knowledge of DFM principles to optimise manufacturability and reduce design-to-production costs
• Fluency in English and Mandarin; German is a plus
