Senior Consultant - Financial Services Tax & Regulatory Advisory (Geneva)

About the role

EY's Tax Services team in Geneva is strengthening its Financial Services Tax practice and is looking for a Senior Consultant. You will join multidisciplinary teams and work on a wide variety of client engagements advising leading financial institutions such as banks, wealth managers, insurance companies and asset managers on optimizing their business and legal structures. The role offers steep learning opportunities and meaningful client exposure.

Key responsibilities

• Support clients with the interpretation, implementation and application of regulatory and operational tax concepts, focusing on tax transparency topics such as FATCA, QI and Automatic Exchange of Information, and related reporting obligations
• Carry out hands-on tasks such as guiding clients through onboarding rules, reviewing client documentation, applying tax calculation rules, classifying securities and supporting tax reporting to regulators and clients, as well as managing operational tax functions and tax-related data
• Contribute to holistic solutions working with colleagues in Legal, Audit and Consulting, and with international teams across different jurisdictions
• Take part regularly in client secondments and on-site projects
• Gain international exposure, with the possibility to work across different countries and language regions
• Benefit from technical tax training and opportunities to pursue external qualifications such as Swiss Certified Tax Expert, LLM or other diplomas

Required profile

• 2-5 years of experience in Swiss and/or international tax, gained within a consulting firm, Big Four or financial institution
• Knowledge of tax transparency topics such as FATCA, QI and CRS
• A recognized degree in law, economics, finance or a related field (federal diploma, bachelor's or master's)
• Fluency in French and English; German and/or Italian is an advantage
• Fast learner with strong analytical and numerical skills, adaptability, flexibility and a collaborative team spirit
