Senior Consultant, Non-Financial Risk Management (Operational Risk & Resilience)

About the role

EY's Financial Services Consulting Risk team, based in Geneva, supports banks, insurers and private and regional banks with regulatory and risk management advice. The Prudential Risk team focuses on operational risk and operational resilience, helping clients identify vulnerabilities, reduce the likelihood and impact of operational disruptions and strengthen governance, controls and resilience frameworks. This role contributes to both consulting and assurance engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Apply risk management knowledge in banking and financial products
• Take part in consulting projects on non-financial risk regulatory and supervisory matters
• Carry out targeted regulatory audits for finance clients in coordination with regulators, primarily FINMA
• Explore emerging risk areas such as data analytics and AI

Required profile

• Advanced graduate degree (Master's, MBA, PhD) in Finance, Economics, Accounting or another business field
• 3-5 years of experience in financial services non-financial risk management (operational resilience, BCM, TPRM, etc.) in a control function or through consulting/assurance work
• Fluency in English and French; German or Italian is an added advantage
• Swiss work permit, or ability to obtain one (for example through EU citizenship)
• Ideal: working towards or having completed a professional qualification such as FRM or CFA, and experience with Geneva-based banks and wealth/asset managers
