Senior DevOps Engineer – Bern (80-100% Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to ensure the stable, secure and highly‑available operation of a large‑scale, mission‑critical web platform. You will work at the intersection of software engineering, IT operations and architecture, driving a digital transformation focused on scalability and long‑term platform excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement modern deployment and release strategies using GitOps principles.
• Build, optimise and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows.
• Collaborate with software engineers on system architecture and platform integration.
• Develop and manage scalable Infrastructure‑as‑Code solutions.
• Strengthen observability, monitoring and operational excellence across environments.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience operating Kubernetes platforms in production.
• Proven expertise with Docker, Helm and ArgoCD.
• Experience building and managing GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with backend technologies such as Spring Boot.
• Ability to work in large‑scale or complex programme environments.
