Senior Director, BD Excellence – Europe

About the role

The BD Excellence Senior Director Europe will lead the adoption and execution of BD Excellence vision across Europe, supporting structured growth and innovation for a global medical technology leader.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Europe Leadership Team to drive continuous improvement, visual management, problem solving and Kaizen across business units and functions.
• Shape and deploy strategic plans, cascade indicators, and ensure alignment of growth, profitability and customer objectives.
• Coach senior leaders on BD Excellence principles, facilitate strategy deployment workshops and operational reviews.
• Lead enterprise‑wide transformation programs, identify systemic barriers and implement cross‑functional interventions.
• Build capability and culture of continuous improvement, develop next‑generation BD Excellence leaders.

Required profile

• University bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
• Extensive commercial experience in sales, marketing or commercial operations, preferably in medical devices or diagnostics.
• Proven track record of driving process improvement, cultural change and results in a matrix organization.
• Strong understanding of European market regulations and business environment.
• Willingness to travel 50‑70% domestically and internationally.

Required skills

• Lean Six Sigma / Kaizen certification with hands‑on experience in commercial settings.
• Expertise in visual management, problem‑solving methodologies and continuous improvement tools.
• Excellent influencing, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
