Senior Director, Commercial Development – Cardiovascular & Renal

About the role

The Senior Director of Commercial Development will act as the commercial voice within the R&D Product Strategy Team, shaping early product strategy, market positioning and life‑cycle planning for cardiovascular and renal therapeutics across multiple indications.

Key responsibilities

• Define commercial direction for new mechanisms of action and disease areas, leading co‑development and co‑promotion partnerships.
• Lead development and execution of multi‑indication product strategies, influencing TPPs, stage‑gate preparation and long‑term asset value.
• Assess external opportunities for inorganic growth, including partnerships, acquisitions and collaborations, and build business cases.
• Collaborate with market access, analytics and regional teams to present a unified commercial perspective in strategic forums.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in Business, Life Sciences or related field.
• 15+ years of commercial development, strategy or analytics experience in pharma/biotech, specifically cardiology or nephrology.
• Proven track record leading cross‑functional teams and driving strategic initiatives.

Required skills

• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
• Experience with commercial assessments of external opportunities, BD+L/M&A, and consulting.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with global teams.
