Senior Director, General Manager & Strategic Alliance Lead – International Partner Markets

About the role

Agios Pharmaceuticals is seeking a senior leader to drive commercial performance and strategic alliances for its international partner markets. The role will oversee the launch and expansion of Pyrukynd across the GCC and Europe, working closely with external partners and internal functions.

Key responsibilities

• Own overall P&L and commercial performance in partner markets, including the GCC and Europe, with potential expansion to additional regions.
• Act as the strategic alliance lead, organizing Joint Steering Committees, Quarterly Business Reviews, and day‑to‑day functional collaboration with partners.
• Foster a transparent, collaborative culture with partner organizations, serving as the primary face of Agios in these markets.
• Build and maintain strong cross‑functional relationships across Global Commercial, Market Access, Medical, HEOR, Supply Chain and other internal teams.
• Drive business execution, operating model design, and alignment of commercial strategies with partner capabilities.

Required profile

• Extensive international commercial experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech sector, preferably in rare diseases.
• Proven track record of managing P&L and leading market expansion outside the United States.
• Demonstrated ability to lead strategic alliances and coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical and decision‑making skills with a results‑oriented mindset.
