Senior DMPK-PD Project Leader

About the role

Lead non‑clinical and translational DMPK‑PD strategies within Roche’s Translational DMPK‑PD Department, ensuring optimal drug design, dosing and safety for patients.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead advanced drug design, optimisation and compound profiling integrating DMPK principles with target biology.
• Guide early discovery teams on translational strategies for clinical evaluation of target modulation.
• Direct advanced modelling and simulation activities (PKPD, PBPK, DDI, human dose prediction) from lead optimisation through late‑stage clinical development.
• Author high‑quality scientific assessments of non‑clinical DMPK data for internal reviews and regulatory submissions (IND, CTA, NDA, BLA).
• Implement robust biomarker and bioanalytical strategies in partnership with cross‑functional stakeholders.

Required profile

• PharmD or PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology, Bioengineering or related field.
• 15‑20+ years post‑PhD industry experience in senior pharmacokinetic roles.
• Deep expertise across discovery, preclinical and development PK/PD for small molecules, biologics and novel therapeutics.
• Proven senior leadership, communication and cross‑functional influencing skills.

Required skills

• Advanced modelling platforms: Phoenix, Berkeley Madonna, GastroPlus, SimCyp.
• Experience with AI/ML methodologies applied to DMPK strategies.
• Expertise in PK/PD, PBPK, DDI modelling and human dose/regimen prediction.
