Senior Fab Procurement Manager

About the role

Coherent Corp is seeking a Senior Fab Procurement Manager to lead procurement strategy for its global wafer fabrication operations. The role oversees direct materials, capital equipment and strategic supplier relationships, ensuring cost competitiveness, supply continuity and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for global wafer fab operations.
• Lead sourcing of direct materials, capital equipment and critical manufacturing services.
• Drive cost savings, supplier innovation, inventory improvements and risk reduction.
• Manage supplier performance, business reviews and improvement plans.
• Conduct supplier risk assessments, business continuity planning and mitigation.
• Negotiate complex commercial agreements, long‑term contracts and capital equipment purchases.
• Establish and monitor KPIs for cost, quality, delivery, inventory and working capital.
• Partner with senior cross‑functional stakeholders and provide executive updates on supplier performance and risks.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of procurement professionals.

Required profile

• 12+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain or materials management.
• Strong expertise in strategic sourcing, category management, supplier development and complex negotiations.
• Background in semiconductor, electronics, advanced manufacturing or a highly regulated environment preferred.
• Commercial, analytical, financial and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Experience with ERP and MRP systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Logistics or related field.
• Fluent in English and German (oral and written).
