Senior Footwear Designer

About the role

As a Senior Footwear Designer at SCOTT, you will lead the creation of innovative running and bike footwear collections, translating trends and athlete insights into high‑performance products. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers and other designers to deliver cohesive collections that push the boundaries of technology and style.

Key responsibilities

• Spearhead all design aspects, producing compelling visual concepts in 2D and 3D for footwear collections.
• Create sketches and renderings that push performance boundaries.
• Coordinate resources to develop a unique, cohesive design direction for target groups.
• Gather insights through product testing, research and direct interaction with athletes and end‑users.
• Align footwear collections with apparel and socks.
• Partner with Footwear Product Managers, Developers and Engineers to bring designs to life.
• Lead the creation of collection overviews and dynamic colorways.
• Stay at the forefront of new technologies and manufacturing techniques, integrating them into future products.
• Develop innovative technology platforms that underpin product categories.
• Collaborate with other designers on new construction techniques, features and toolbox solutions.

Required profile

• Degree in Product or Industrial Design or equivalent experience.
• 5‑7+ years of hands‑on footwear design experience.
• Strong ideation, sketching and visual presentation abilities.
• Familiarity with contemporary sports, fashion culture and trends.
• Excellent teamwork, communication and mentoring skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, multitask and prioritize.
