Senior Footwear Designer

About the role

The Senior Footwear Designer leads the creative development of seasonal footwear collections, turning brand vision into wearable, sell‑able products. Working closely with the Chief Creative Officer, the role balances creativity, commercial viability and technical execution.

Key responsibilities

• Develop seasonal footwear concepts, sketches, technical drawings, colourways, material combinations and detailed specifications.
• Collaborate with Product Development from concept through prototype, sample review and final approval, ensuring design intent is maintained.
• Partner with Merchandising and CCO to build balanced assortments, considering core, carry‑over, commercial and statement pieces.
• Research trends, new materials, constructions and technologies, proposing innovative concepts beyond given briefs.
• Communicate designs and collection stories to internal teams, factories, suppliers and sales/marketing partners.

Required profile

• 6–8+ years of professional footwear design experience, preferably in premium or contemporary fashion.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating creative and commercially successful footwear.
• Excellent understanding of footwear construction, materials, lasts, soles and manufacturing processes.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
