Senior Group Accountant

About the role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Senior Group Accountant prepares the Group's financials by hand: the monthly close, the consolidated P&L and financial statistics across all Group entities, for review by the Finance Manager. The role works closely with external accountants, auditors and tax advisors and suits a detail-oriented accountant with a strong technical foundation who wants to grow with a fast-scaling SaaS company.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare the monthly, quarterly and annual close for all Group entities: journal entries, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Perform first-level monthly P&L analysis, explain variances against prior periods and budget, and prepare P&L reports and financial statistics.
• Prepare consolidation adjustments (intercompany reconciliations and eliminations, reclassifications, accruals and cut-off) and the consolidated financials.
• Prepare VAT returns and support other tax filings with local tax advisors.
• Maintain the general ledger in line with IFRS and prepare statutory financial statements and audit files.
• Support budgeting and forecasting with accurate actuals and analyses, document accounting processes and contribute to automation of the close.
• Assist with ad hoc analyses and special projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; a professional accounting qualification (or progress towards one) is a plus.
• 5-7 years of hands-on accounting experience, ideally in a multi-entity or international group, an audit firm or a fiduciary, including statutory and consolidated statements.
• Experience with Group consolidation, intercompany eliminations and consolidation adjustments.
• Experience in SaaS or technology is a plus.
• Fluent English; French or another language is a strong plus.

Required skills

• Solid technical accounting foundation: record-to-report, month-end close, reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
• Advanced Excel; hands-on experience with Odoo is a strong advantage.
• Experience with AI in a professional environment.
