Senior Lab Technician – Analytical Development

About the role

Lonza is seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician (Senior) to join its analytical development team for mammalian products at the Visp site in Switzerland. The role focuses on executing and improving analytical methods that support patient‑treatment solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Execute routine analytical methods in an analytical development environment.
• Investigate unexpected results and troubleshoot laboratory issues.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and oversee associated activities.
• Generate and collect high‑quality data, performing analysis and interpreting results.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary project teams to support scientifically based solutions.
• Implement improvements and introduce new technical solutions.

Required profile

• Lab Technician training or a BSc degree in Life Sciences.
• Previous experience in analytical laboratories or industry.
• Demonstrated experience in instrument troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Expertise in protein analytics (e.g., CE SDS, icIEF, HPLC, LC‑MS).
• Knowledge of method development is an advantage.

• Imaged Capillary Isoelectric Focusing (icIEF).
• High‑Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC).
