Senior Lab Technician - Analytical Services

About the role

Celonic, a biologics CDMO, is hiring a Senior Lab Technician in Analytical Services for its expanding Biologic Development Center in Basel. The role covers planning and running analytical experiments, supporting or leading problem-solving and coaching junior team members. It involves executing fit-for-purpose methods for process development and implementing GMP-ready methods and their transfer to Quality Control.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and perform analyses, evaluate data and report results through result databases and LIMS
• Assist in interpreting results and support planning and reporting in the analytical focus area
• Support the transfer and handover of analytical methods to GMP Quality Control, including validations
• Review, update and improve processes and standard operating procedures
• Work autonomously and meet deadlines; drive simple initiatives with limited guidance
• Follow EHS procedures and laboratory safety standards, keep the workspace clean and report unsafe conditions

Required profile

• Biological laboratory technician degree (preferred) or BSc in Biotechnology or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in biotechnology or pharma, ideally in a CDMO setting focused on process development and protein analytics
• Meticulous attention to detail, well-organized, able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change
• Confident English; German is a plus

• ceSDS and cIEF, including devices (Maurice) and software (iCE Compass)
• LIMS for method setup and reporting, ideally STARLIMS
