Senior Lab Technician

About the role

Lonza is seeking a Senior Laboratory Technician to join its Ibex® Solutions team in Visp, Switzerland. You will work hands‑on in state‑of‑the‑art laboratories, supporting the development of cell‑culture processes for novel biotherapeutics.

Key responsibilities

• Execute experimental lab work according to schedule, generate high‑quality data and collaborate with scientists and technicians.
• Maintain and qualify lab equipment, develop working instructions, order consumables and ensure workplace cleanliness.
• Support pilot‑scale cell‑culture activities using single‑use systems and contribute to process consistency and control strategies.
• Identify and implement improvements to departmental processes and report issues promptly.

Required profile

• Apprenticeship with 1‑4 years industry experience or BSc in Biotechnology, Biology or Chemistry.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong attention to detail.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.
