Senior Libraries Engineer – AI and HPC

About the role

Join NVIDIA's multidisciplinary team to develop and enhance GPU and CPU accelerated data processing libraries such as DALI and nvImageCodec. You will design, develop, and optimize cutting‑edge algorithms that power AI, data analytics, image processing, computer vision, and scientific simulations for leading organizations worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop scalable library software using modern tools and languages for various numerical methods.
• Performance tune, optimize, and benchmark algorithms across diverse architectures.
• Collaborate with leadership and internal/external partners to define feature and performance requirements and contribute to library roadmaps.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to fellow library engineers.
• Identify opportunities to improve user experience and library performance.

Required profile

• PhD or MSc in Computational Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience developing, debugging, and optimizing high‑performance parallel numerical applications with GPU acceleration using CUDA.
• Proven track record of leading and delivering software development projects.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation habits.

Required skills

• C/C++ programming.
• CUDA GPU acceleration.

• Familiarity with CI/CD systems and project management tools such as JIRA.
