Senior Low-Code Architect – Mendix

About the role

Zühlke is seeking a Senior Low-Code Architect with deep expertise in Mendix to lead the design and delivery of scalable low‑code solutions. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to translate business needs into robust architectures that integrate seamlessly with existing systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and development of Mendix‑based low‑code solutions, ensuring alignment with overall software architecture.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to capture business requirements, identify low‑code opportunities, and define integration needs.
• Design and implement scalable architectures that integrate Mendix applications with external APIs, RESTful services, and messaging systems.
• Provide technical guidance on low‑code best practices, architectural patterns, and integration strategies to project teams.
• Explore emerging low‑code technologies and evaluate their fit within the organization’s architecture landscape.
• Work with developers, business analysts, and infrastructure specialists to deliver high‑quality solutions on time and within budget.
• Mentor and coach developers, fostering expertise in low‑code development and software architecture.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software architecture.
• Proven track record designing and implementing complex, scalable architectures that incorporate low‑code platforms.
• Deep expertise in Mendix, with the ability to leverage its full capabilities for rapid application development.
• Strong understanding of architecture principles, patterns, and best practices.
• Solid knowledge of integration techniques such as RESTful APIs, messaging queues, and event‑driven architectures.
• Experience with integration approaches including ESB, API gateways, and microservices.
