Senior Manager, Cost Engineering / Design to Value

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Manager, Cost Engineering / Design to Value to lead the IM Cost Engineering centre of excellence. The role will be based in Zug, Switzerland and support supply chain, procurement and R&D partners across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Innovative Medicine Supply Chain Category Leads to apply cost engineering, design to value and strategic cost management principles.
• Lead development and governance of cost structures across all IM supply chain categories.
• Drive critical cost engineering initiatives and support business transformation strategies.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to create strategic plans addressing cost opportunities identified through cost modeling and supplier cost transparency analysis.
• Oversee Cost Engineering digital technologies such as Siemens PCM and the central supplier cost transparency database.

Required profile

• Master of Engineering or Bachelor’s in Engineering/Biological Sciences.
• Minimum 15 years manufacturing experience with at least 5 years in should‑cost modeling.
• Broad knowledge of biotech, pharma, chemical or packaging manufacturing processes.
• Proven leadership, communication and stakeholder‑influence skills.

Required skills

• Siemens PCM
• IM PRISMA 360 integration
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
• CPSM certification (preferred)
• Activity‑based cost accounting and cost modeling
