Senior Manager – Raw Material Procurement

About the role

The Senior Manager of Raw Material Procurement leads global sourcing activities for critical raw materials used in the polyester and Hytrel product lines. Reporting to the Elastomers P&L Leader, this role partners with business units to secure supply, manage costs, and drive strategic sourcing initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional and global category strategies for raw materials.
• Coach and mentor team members, establishing succession plans.
• Act as procurement business partner to the Elastomers P&L Leader and Polyester GBM.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships and resolve disputes when necessary.
• Provide rolling forecasts of raw‑material prices to support decision‑making.
• Negotiate frame agreements for BDO, PBT, PTMEG, TPEE, PTA, MEG, DMT and other EM raw materials.
• Coordinate portfolio activities across North America and Asia.
• Review and approve purchase orders and framework agreements.
• Monitor supplier performance, address issues, and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage raw‑material selection, qualification, and onboarding of alternative suppliers.
• Support M&A procurement integration to enhance supply security and competitiveness.

Required profile

• Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering; MBA preferred.
• 5‑7 years of experience in the chemical industry, with 3‑5 years in commercial (sales or procurement) roles.
• Strong communication, leadership, and negotiation abilities.
• Strategic thinking and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proven analytical and result‑driven mindset.
