Senior Manager - Tax Accounting & Risk Advisory Services (Geneva)

About the role

EY's Tax Services advises clients on all tax issues and helps optimise their business and legal structures. As part of the Tax Accounting & Risk Advisory Services practice in Geneva, you will work in interdisciplinary, multicultural teams. The role combines leading client accounts with audit work, BEPS2.0 projects and team leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Act as central point of contact for international clients and colleagues on direct tax accounting issues
• Take part in tax audits of international groups and single legal entities in Switzerland
• Contribute to BEPS2.0 projects
• Lead clients on established accounts, improve processes in EY and client processes, and implement services for new clients
• Manage account resourcing, budget and delivery
• Develop and coach the team, including the global EY Shared Service Centre structures

Required profile

• 5-10 years of experience in tax accounting, ideally in an international environment through an in-house role and/or a professional services or Big 4 firm
• Strong tax or audit background with solid knowledge of IAS 12 and/or ASC 740
• Experience designing, executing and supervising tax audit procedures for multinational headquarters as part of a primary audit team
• Ability to assess and analyse the tax accounting implications of complex transactions
• Fluency in English; French is an advantage

Required skills

• Advanced Excel, able to manage and analyse large, complex spreadsheets
• Knowledge of Pillar Two is an advantage
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and effective communication
