Senior Manufacturing Specialist

About the role

As a Senior Manufacturing Specialist, you will lead manufacturing support for innovation and renovation projects, providing technical and operational expertise that enables successful industrialisation and sustainable factory performance. Based at the research and development centre in Konolfingen, Switzerland, you will help develop science‑proven nutrition products, processes and packaging while supporting Nestlé factories worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing support across innovation and renovation projects to turn concepts into competitive products, processes and systems.
• Drive early manufacturing input, risk assessment and technical decisions to improve readiness, speed and implementation quality.
• Provide reliable technical assistance during industrialisation, start‑ups and product launches to achieve efficient, sustainable factory performance.
• Build and document specialist knowledge, standards and guidelines that strengthen manufacturing capability across sites.
• Explore breakthrough technologies and processes that create new opportunities for innovation, productivity and competitive advantage.
• Develop factory knowledge through training, coaching and networks that accelerate learning and cross‑site collaboration.

Required profile

• Deep manufacturing, engineering or product development expertise applied to industrialisation and factory support.
• Application of current quality, safety and hygiene standards to deliver robust and sustainable solutions.
• Use of data analysis, digital tools and structured problem‑solving to identify risks and improve performance.
• Collaboration across functions, sites and cultures with clear communication of technical recommendations.
• Fluent communication in English.
• Demonstrated courage, collaboration, speed and continuous learning.
