Senior Math Libraries Engineer - LLM Integration and Developer Experience

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Senior Math Libraries Engineer to lead the integration of CUDA‑X math library APIs into modern LLM and agentic AI workflows. You will enable engineers and AI agents to build high‑performance applications using GPU‑accelerated libraries.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement LLM‑first math library APIs and documentation that are introspectable, explainable, and easily synthesized by AI agents.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver timely LLM‑enhanced library releases.
• Build metrics, tools, and processes to measure the impact and quality of LLM/agentic code generation.
• Prototype tooling to transform math library APIs into LLM‑friendly representations for popular code‑generation tools.

Required profile

• PhD or MSc in Computational Science, Computer Science, Applied Math, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of professional experience with strong knowledge of LLMs, finetuning, reinforcement learning, RAGs, MCP, and agent tooling.
• Proven ability to design clear, composable APIs and write high‑quality, well‑documented code for complex technical domains.
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and documentation habits, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects independently.

Required skills

• CUDA‑X math library APIs (cuBLAS, cuFFT, cuSOLVER, cuSPARSE).
• Large Language Models (LLMs) and related techniques (finetuning, RL, RAG, MCP).
• API design and documentation.
• Software development in C/C++ and Python.
