Senior Mechanical Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of complex functional consumables in a fast‑paced, agile environment. You will own key work packages, collaborate with external partners, and ensure products are manufacturable at high volume.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of project deliverables within a matrix‑organized structure and manage supplier relationships.
• Lead full‑lifecycle mechanical development from concept through testing, bug fixing and maintenance, emphasizing Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
• Drive advanced plastics engineering, optimizing parts for high‑volume injection molding and cutting‑edge plastic technologies.
• Participate in sprint‑based Agile planning, estimation and execution alongside Product Owners, Scrum Masters and developers.
• Conduct rigorous engineering analyses such as FEA, FMEA, tolerance analysis and other physics‑based simulations.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and lead cross‑functional technical reviews.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (FH/BSc/MSc) with 6–8 years of hands‑on industry experience.
• Extensive expertise in injection molding design and plastic technologies, preferably with large‑scale series production.
• Proven experience in all phases of mechanical development and DFM.
• Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills in multidisciplinary teams.
• Hands‑on CAD design proficiency (SolidWorks preferred) and compliance with ISO 8015/GPS standards.
• Analytical mindset with solid fundamentals in physics and engineering.
• Professional fluency in English; medical‑device experience is a plus.
