Senior Medical Scientist – Systemic Pain

About the role

Haleon is seeking a Senior Medical Scientist specialized in systemic pain to join its Medical Affairs team in Nyon, Switzerland. The role is office‑based and focuses on reviewing and approving both promotional and non‑promotional medical content to ensure full compliance with Haleon’s governance principles and regional regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Haleon’s medical signatory for copy approval of promotional and non‑promotional materials targeting Emerging Markets.
• Collaborate with Content Specialists to align materials with Haleon strategy and required standards.
• Lead training for internal stakeholders on the copy‑approval process, Haleon code, and regional regulations.
• Verify translation accuracy and ensure regulatory compliance across all content.
• Measure, report, and increase visibility of regional copy‑approval activities and digital initiatives.
• Participate in cross‑functional projects developing functionality for multiple communication channels.
• Support Materials Management monitoring, corrective‑action tracking, and creation of abbreviated package inserts for Emerging Markets.

Required profile

• Medical Doctor or Registered Pharmacist.
• Proven experience in copy approval within a medical or pharmaceutical environment.
• Strong knowledge of basic science and disease areas related to pain.
• Ability to develop and modify policies and to train others effectively.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
