Senior Network Security Engineer

About the role

Rieter is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to design, build, and operate its global network security infrastructure. The role focuses on protecting the company’s worldwide operations from cybersecurity threats while ensuring reliable and secure connectivity.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate global network security solutions.
• Manage and continuously improve firewalls, VPNs, network segmentation, and secure connectivity services.
• Provide second‑ and third‑level support for network security infrastructure.
• Analyze internal customer requirements and develop secure, scalable solutions.
• Ensure compliance with global architecture, configuration, and security standards.
• Enhance performance, reliability, and design of existing network security environments.
• Lead network security projects, including cloud connectivity and security architecture improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HF in Computer Engineering, IT, or a related engineering field, or equivalent technical training.
• Minimum seven years of experience in enterprise network or network security engineering.
• Extensive knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls, VPNs, network segmentation, and IPSec.
• Strong understanding of ISP and data‑center environments (routing, switching, MPLS, BGP, load balancing).
