Senior Platform Designer

About the role

Join the Platform Design & Innovation team to shape a complex clinical platform used by geneticists, pathologists, oncologists, bioinformaticians and pharma researchers. You will design for expert users under clinical pressure, influencing variant interpretation, oncology decision support, radiomics and research data access.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct user research across genomics, oncology, imaging and real‑world data domains.
• Design information‑dense workflows and mental‑model‑driven interfaces for expert users.
• Lead cross‑platform design problems, defining interaction patterns that unify multimodal data views.
• Govern and evolve the DDM design system in partnership with engineering.
• Build interactive prototypes using AI‑assisted code, low‑code tools or hand‑crafted HTML and run rapid validation sessions.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, product owners and product managers across multiple application teams.

Required profile

• Proven senior product or platform design experience in regulated health‑tech or scientific software environments.
• Portfolio demonstrating shipped work that impacted product decisions for distinct expert user groups.
• Deep curiosity about clinical genomics, imaging and real‑world data, with understanding of AI/ML in a clinical context.
• Excellent communication skills to influence engineers, clinicians, pharma partners and executives.

Required skills

• Design of data‑heavy, information‑dense interfaces (tables, filters, multi‑step workflows).
• Prototyping expertise using HTML, low‑code platforms or AI‑assisted code generation.
• Experience with design systems, component libraries and token standards.
• Ability to translate design concepts into technical requirements and acceptance criteria.
