Senior Process Design Engineer – Pharma & Life Sciences

Jacobs is looking for a Senior Process Design Engineer to support the design, planning and delivery of advanced pharma manufacturing sites, from early concept through commissioning and qualification.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support the design, planning and coordination of pharmaceutical process facilities.
• Develop core process documentation such as User Requirement Specifications (URS), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs and perform mass and energy balances.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams of process engineers and prepare tender documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors after award to ensure successful project execution.
• Provide engineering support during construction, commissioning and qualification phases.
• Contribute to investment cost estimates and project budgeting.

Required profile

• Degree in Pharmaceutical Engineering, Biotechnology, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical plant design and engineering.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical production technologies.
• Structured, solution‑oriented working style and willingness to travel for business.
• Business‑fluent in German and/or French (B2) and able to work in English.
