Senior Process Engineer for Pharma, Biotech and Chemical Plant Engineering

About the role

Artelia Industrie Suisse is looking for a Senior Process Engineer / Project Manager to lead industrial projects in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical and related process sectors. Reporting to the office director, you will manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring technical, financial and scheduling targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Lead projects from conception through design, construction, commissioning and hand‑over.
• Prepare process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and perform engineering calculations.
• Evaluate supplier bids from technical and financial perspectives.
• Coordinate technical activities on site, act as Lead Engineer and supervise installation and commissioning.
• Train and support technicians, prepare technical and commercial quotations, and report local activity development to the office director.

Required profile

• Completed technical education in Process, Chemical, Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in process engineering and industrial project execution, preferably in pharma, biotech or chemical industries.
• Strong project‑management skills, ability to ensure technical and economic success, and familiarity with ISO 9001 quality procedures.
• Fluent German (essential) and French/English at B2 level.
• Motivation to work independently on long‑term goals and to engage in business‑development activities.

Required skills

• Process engineering design, including PFD and P&ID creation.
• Microsoft Office Suite and MS Project proficiency.
• ISO 9001 quality‑system knowledge.
