Senior Procurement Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to join the strategic sourcing hub in Zug, supporting a leading global consumer goods brand. The role combines strategic sourcing support with day‑to‑day operational execution across high‑spend chemical specialties, oleochemicals, and fragrance categories.

Key responsibilities

• Support sourcing strategy execution by negotiating supplier quotes and agreements under compressed timelines.
• Manage the end‑to‑end purchase order lifecycle, from creation to tracking and system alignment.
• Partner with vendors, Finance, and Accounts teams to resolve invoicing, pricing, and delivery discrepancies.
• Maintain data integrity across enterprise systems, including price updates, contract terms, and order accuracy.
• Monitor and resolve supply chain and order‑management issues to minimise disruption.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders to ensure speed‑to‑market, supply assurance, and continuous category performance improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in operational procurement, sourcing, or supply chain.
• Experience working with or interfacing with a North‑American‑based supply chain is strongly preferred.
• Proven track record in managing purchase orders, quote analysis, contract coordination and high‑volume data verification.
• Experience in consumer goods, manufacturing or chemical raw‑material sourcing is advantageous.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and able to shift between urgent negotiations and transactional execution.

Required skills

• High proficiency with SAP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
