Senior Project Engineer – Aseptic Fill Finish

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead technical projects in aseptic fill‑finish within its Schaffhausen pharmaceutical facility. The role involves design, installation and qualification of production equipment, infrastructure and utilities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage engineering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget and to high quality standards.
• Ensure safe execution of activities in compliance with EHS, cGMP, regulatory and corporate procedures.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (Business Units, QA, EHS&S, sustainability) and global engineering teams.
• Develop business cases to support project funding approvals.

Required profile

• University degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of project engineering experience in the pharmaceutical or chemical industry.
• Fluent in German and English, both oral and written.
• Strong organization, communication and influencing skills.

Required skills

• Project Management methodologies.
• Familiarity with FPX and Lean processes (certification a plus).
• Knowledge of cGMP and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
