Senior Project Manager – Industrial Construction Projects

About the role

This senior project manager position offers the chance to lead a high‑profile industrial construction project within a multidisciplinary team. You will act as the Project Lead, driving delivery of complex scopes while managing stakeholders and ensuring alignment with project objectives, schedules and budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead overall project delivery, controlling cost, schedule, risk and budget.
• Coordinate General Contractors and key partners to ensure successful execution.
• Monitor critical milestones, mitigate risks and prevent schedule delays.
• Chair client, project and stakeholder meetings to maintain clear communication.
• Track cost drivers, performance and commercial risks throughout the lifecycle.
• Support engineering and commercial decisions by evaluating cost and delivery impacts.
• Act as trusted advisor to the client, managing change, resolving issues and negotiating variations.
• Oversee close‑out activities including commissioning, handover, documentation and warranty management.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of project management experience in industrial or large‑scale construction.
• Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary projects through full lifecycle.
• Fluent in German and English with strong written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to work on‑site at least three days per week.
• Solution‑oriented mindset balancing commercial awareness, technical expertise and teamwork.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel.
• Experience with project reporting tools.
