Senior Purchaser

About the role

The Senior Purchaser is responsible for managing all purchasing activities at the site, ensuring alignment with group strategies and driving continuous improvement in vendor management.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee local site purchasing and vendor management, including needs reassessment, RFI/RFQ launches, contract design, and continuous‑improvement monitoring.
• Support the definition and alignment of category strategies with the group’s vision and business‑unit objectives.
• Manage purchasing performance for contracts above €100,000 and coordinate with the Group’s procurement strategies.
• Escalate and return requirements for purchases exceeding €250,000 to the non‑production purchasing COE.
• Prepare and deliver regular performance reports to the plant manager, site manager, SPM, and Group Purchasing Department.
• Implement Nexans standard purchasing processes and drive transversal Group Purchasing initiatives within the site.

Required profile

• Proven experience in site‑level purchasing and vendor management.
• Strong understanding of category strategy development and alignment with corporate objectives.
• Ability to manage high‑value contracts and coordinate with central procurement functions.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
