Senior Software Engineer – AI-Enabled Software Delivery

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer specialized in AI‑enabled software delivery to join a logistics company in Bern. The role focuses on integrating generative AI tools into everyday development workflows while maintaining high engineering standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain and enhance modern software solutions within agile teams.
• Apply generative AI tools across the software development lifecycle to boost productivity.
• Guide and support engineering teams in adopting AI‑assisted development practices.
• Ensure software quality, security, maintainability, reliability and correctness.
• Participate in code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes.
• Identify and implement improvements to development workflows and delivery efficiency.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners and other stakeholders to define best practices.

Required profile

• Several years of hands‑on experience as a software engineer or developer.
• Strong background in modern software engineering and delivery practices.
• Proven practical experience using generative AI tools in daily development.
• Deep understanding of software quality, security and maintainability.
• Delivery‑oriented mindset with focus on measurable outcomes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross‑functional agile teams.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
